Has Our Largest Org Wasted Four Years Waiting And Seeing, Putting All It’s Trust In The Parliamentary APPG Route???

That was four years ago, and since then what has actually happened for the trade???

It seems that our largest representative group -the one with the policy of wait and see....the one who’s Chairperson called Taxi drivers (protesting to keep access to certain road systems including Tottenham Court Road)”Loonies”- have put the hopes of survival of our trade down the political route that is the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG).

So, what do we know about APPG’s :
We know MPs love APPGs because it’s a huge boost to their income.

The first thing we have to understand is who is on the group in question and who finances the group

Take a look at this lists below, (third from the bottom)

Plus, it’s been alleged that Uber have contributed again covertly, under assumed company names.

We have since learned that Wes Streeting went to San Francisco to talk first hand to Uber..... who paid for this business class £5,388 package..... look at the list of sponsors who finance the not just our APPG but also many others

Is it any wonder that neither of the two major political parties want to see this none tax paying drain on the NHS disappear or have their licence revoked or not renewed.

TAXI LEAKS EXTRA BIT:
It will be very interesting to see the result of the up and coming employment tribunal.

This should be the last port of call for Uber and if the verdict goes against them, that’s when the massive tax bill will hit them.

Earlier this year, MP Wes Streeting was asked by the new Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer to take on a key economic portfolio as shadow Treasury minister, part of a new-look Labour team.

So Wes should be in a perfect position to see through Uber’s liability to to taxman.

But in the words of you-know-who!!! we will have to ‘wait and see’.

The case will run from 21-22 of this July.

AND FINALLY: SOME VERY WELCOME GOOD NEWS

Here’s a right turn up for the books !!!
Support for the trade coming from a very unexpected source...
