The London Borough of Bromley has responded to reports that TfL's mobile camera vehicles deployed to catch out Ulez rule breakers, have been parking on grass verges in the borough, by warning them they will be hit with £130 fines if they carry on.
The funny thing is, that each vehicle caught by the mobile camera van that is not ULEZ compliant, will not get a warning, just a fine…….yet these camera vans that have been illegally parking for nearly two weeks as yet, haven’t received one ticket so far.
Nicholas Bennett, executive councillor for transport, highways and road safety, said it was “not acceptable to park on a pavement or verge” and its officers will in future issue TfL with penalty charge notices if they spot parking violations.
The warnings come after the Mayor deployed mobile ULEZ camera vans across the capital, in response to the spate of attacks on Ulez infrastructure, around the roll-out of expansion.
The vans are intended to fill the gaps, where there is a lack of coverage from stationary cameras, mainly in areas where the popular 'BladeRunner' activists, have disabled the cameras.
But the question remains, why have TfL vans previously been ignored and given a second chance….when ordinary residential vehicle owners get fined straight away?

We’ve also heard today that some vehicles that have been parked on peoples private car ports, have been picked up by these mobile cameras and have received fines, even though they haven’t moved since the extension came into force!
