Below is a conversation taken from Twitter this morning:
“I'm currently getting 34mpg by running my TXE on petrol only.I only get about 60 miles when I charge my cab, which equates to a cost of £13.20 via a taxi hub charge site. With petrol costing around £6.60 per gallon, the equivalent 60 miles on petrol costs £11.65. What's the point?
“The particular Taxi charging hub I use, charges 60p/kwh, which is not dissimilar to most providers in London. It certainly doesn't encourage people to go electric.
“On-street charging has become a false economy. There are still savings to be had, but only if you're fortunate enough to be able to use a home charger. I'd also recommend switching to a cheaper overnight tariff (eg. Intelligent Octopus). At 7.5p per kwh, you save a fortune”.
Ends.

What is your opinion, do you regularly run your TXR on just petrol to save money or do you regularly use the on street chargers?
