A London Taxi driver traveling East along Marylebone Road, approached a filter light and turned right into Marylebone High Street…quite a legal operation carried out by many vehicles every day.
To his utter surprise, he received a ticked from TfL saying that he had done an illegal left turn. You can see perfectly clear from the photo on the ticket, that he was in fact turning right.
No problems he thought, I’ll just appeal the ticket. But again to his utter surprise, the appeal was turned down by TfL.
This is his post on Twitter yesterday:
Today I received a pcn for a banned no left turn in Marylebone high from the Marylebone road .Can you tell your left from your right ? @TfLTPH camera operators can’t.

He will now have to take this to a tribunal.
Surprisingly, TfL don’t have footage online, you have to request a DVD and play it at home.
They also don’t support online appeals at the Tribunals, it has to be done via a paper trail.
The biggest authority with an antiquated system, proving again that TfL are not fit for purpose.
