This post was put out this morning by TfL on Their Twitter account:
"As part of our plans to ensure London has the world’s greenest taxi fleet, since 1 November 2019 the maximum taxi age has been mandated so that no taxi will be licensed to operate over its relevant age limit".

When I purchased my TX4 in 2012, it was with the understanding that the vehicle would have a usage life span as a Taxi, of 15 years.

The reduction in the operational life of my vehicle has been cut by one fifth, and the resale value has plummeted.

Why are the orgs and unions, sitting on their hands again and allowing this to happen?

Surely TfL and the Mayor's office should be paying out substantial compensation to drivers affected by this mandate.

Taking thousands of perfectly good usable vehicles off the road has nothing to do with greener streets!
Surely this is no more than a secret handshake to try to booster business towards a failing monopoly?

While our largest orgs do nothing but waiting and seeing, our competition is expanding at an alarming rate, heavily supported by our regulator.

Make no mistake….Our trade is under attack!
And it appears we have no one fighting our corner for survival.

It should be clear even to dummies that the powers that be want the end to us.
