Are Sadiq Khan, TfL and London Councils guilty of contravening the Equalities Act 2010 in respect of disabled Taxi passengers ???

More proof that Licensed London Taxis being wheelchair accessible, is not just a waste of time….it’s put a financial burden on Taxi owners that is now a complete waste of our money.

The Mayor of London and many of London’s councils are discriminating against disabled passengers, with new restrictions, implemented in the recent pandemic, are stoping London Taxis being able to pick up and deliver disabled passengers, door to door….it’s a complete disgrace.

This was posted on Twitter, earlier today from Taxi driver Nathan @t4xznatty:

Absolutely disgusted with @lb_southwark who have issued a PCN for me having to enter a time restricted road in Dulwich when carrying a disabled passenger who couldn’t walk to there destination.

Is this how we treat our disabled now…. Shame on you Southwark

The driver was asked where exactly was the PCN issued and he replied:

NAIRNE GROVE JUNCTION SUNRAY AVENUE time restricted 8.30-9.30am 3-4pm.

Taxi drivers face a £1,000 fine for refusing a disabled passenger….but what is TfL’s stance in present circumstances where a job can’t be undertaken or completed because of these ridiculous and scandalous restrictions ????

TfL so far, have not answered our question….but then, they rarely do.

Also nothing from Sadiq Khan's deputy Mayor for transport (I know nothing about transport) Heidi Alexander &heidi_LDN, or Mayor of Southwark @BarrieHargrove

Are these people guilty of discrimination against disabled passengers under the equalities act 2010 ????

Our opinion is they are…and they should be bought to task. Justice should be seen to be done.

You could find a decent judge who'd agree with the obvious and rule in the black cab and disabled passengers favour, however, Khan will just use our tax payers money to appeal and then get a corrupt judge to over rule it.
