Just when you thought it couldn’t get any crazier.
Overnight, councillors on the Conservative led Borough of Kensington and Chelsea have introduce a completely pointless pop up road restriction, forcing traffic to drive an even longer distance, to get around this restriction.
They say this no go area has been implemented, under the idea of greener streets and better air quality, but surely...wouldn’t it be greener to shorten car journeys.... not extend them!
Traffic will now have to divert onto the already congested Ladbroke Grove and Portobello Road, more congestion means more unnecessary pollution.
How do these idiots get to keep their jobs.
Anyone in the business world this incompetent, would be sacked.
Again, we will have to remember who voted this in when next year council elections come around, and make sure these inadequate councillors are sent on their way.
London Cab Driver's Club chairman Grant Davis said of the councils still rolling out these restrictions:
"What a disgrace! is this how we help local communities come through Covid?
You should be ashamed of yourselves"
These restrictions have never been about safety, or cleaner air...they have always been about the money, pure and simple.

Meanwhile, in the London borough of Harrow, after complaints from local businesses and residents, the council have decided to remove all the new restrictions, including the virtually unused new cycle lanes that were causing massive congestion
