A Victory Of Sorts For The Trade, But Then The BBC Refuses To Play By The Rules In Their Subtitles Section.

Since our last article advising drivers to complain to the BBC over their headline 'A Ride That Feels Safer Than A Bus Or A Taxi'...which they changed to A Ride That Fells Safer Than A Bus Or A Cab'....then within the space of an hour, changed it back to !'A Ride That Feels Safer Than A Bus Or A Taxi, we’ve received this apology below..

The BBC are now saying they have now changed the article to remove any mention of the word Taxi. But of course this is complete lie....again. See for yourself by clicking on this link

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/uk-55548820

They sat no mention of ant Taxi exists in the piece any longer!

So....what is this ðŸ‘‡

The pedal me company cannot call itself or advertise itself as a Cycle Taxi service...but the Beeb has never let the truth get in the way of a good story!!!

Like everything the BBC does with regard to our trade, they’ve haven’t completely told the truth again.

But this time, they are referring to the Cargo Bike service as a Taxi-Bike, which, if the company Pedal Me were to use to advertise the service, would in law, be deemed as an illegal use of the word Taxi under the Private Hire Act 1998 section 31 subsection 2 (a). This section applies to any form of advertisement.

Pedal Me advertise as a Bike Taxi service on their app, which is in contravention of the PHV act 1998
