London Set To Welcome A Passenger Service 100x More Polluting Than Road Traffic


So, according to deputy Mayor for Transport Heidi “I know nothing about transport, but the £127,000 will come in handy) Alexander.... air quality in London doesn’t matter. 

After a major implementation of completely unnecessary segregated ‘cycle ways’ (we won’t call them Lanes because in most cases they take up more road space than a cycle lane), which are causing massive amounts of air pollutants contra to the Mayors clean air for London  initiative, with low emission zones.

We are about to see even more pollution added to London’s air, coming from vehicles that use fuels 100 times More polluting than the levels allowed for road vehicles. 

It’s alleged that the deputy Mayor for transport has bent over backwards to grease the path for Thames Clippers to run an Uber ferry service to and from the City.

To be able to ease a situation... first you have to creat a situation! 
That’s exactly what the CoL and TfL have been doing for the last 2 years. 

While everyone has been locked down, TfL have been covertly working away plotting the closure of London Streets, making it almost impossible for London Taxis and road hauliers to operate door to door services. An on the way, discriminating against disabled travellers. 
Funny that disable groups have been very quiet on this issue...could it be that their funding has been threatened if they speak out???

In January 2019 Khan made as a peach at a Mansion House dinner, saying: “London's "filthy, toxic air" has become a "public health emergency" that is killing thousands of people prematurely every year.

He went on to say harmful polluted air is even causing the underdevelopment of children's lungs, a situation he called "shameful".

Yet he has spent the last 18 months bringing in poorly planned, poorly thought out traffic restrictions and cycle schemes which have added dramatically to the filthy toxic air problem. 

The problem is about to get dramatically worse...helped along by his deputy mayor who is about to champion a service that uses a fuel 100 times more polluting than the fuel road vehicles use. 

Heidi definitely appears to be doing her best, to confirm her original statement that she knows nothing about transport. 

TAXI LEAKS EXTRA BIT: 
It was another Labour Mayor (Ken Livingston) who famously said “Before you can charge for congestion, you have to creat it”. 

He informed all the utility companies that there was going to be a nine month ban on anything other than emergency road works the following year. The companies went into over drive creating a nightmare scenario, where traffic was bought to virtual gridlock across the capital. 

Livingston then bought in the congestion charge and banned non essential road works For six months... and overnight the traffic almost disappeared, making it look as if the new CC zone was a huge success. 

With what’s been happening to our roads over the last three months, don’t be surprised if a new charging scheme, suddenly pops up out of the blue. 

At present, there are three people, who should be personally held responsible for the upturn in unnecessary, preventable premature deaths caused by an increase in poor air quality and noxious pollution (the ones Khan mentioned in his speech at the Mansion house, back in January 2019).
