On Thursday last week, Piers Corbyn and team went into the Aldi APP ONLY store Greenwich.  Piers chose a box of strawberries and put down a CASH Payment on the HELP TABLE. While the security said he wasn't allowed to pay by cash, he left the shop advising the staff to call the Police

It has been alleged that Aldi’s card payment systems, including their automatic check out machines have been hacked and had to be switched off en masse. 

If you shopped in ALDI over the last few days and used their automatic CC card checkout machines, or paid at the till with a credit or debit card, it’s advisable to keep an eye on your bank card account. 

We’ve seen this type of hacking before with on line PH operator Uber, whose customer data base was hacked by a Russian cyber hacking group called Clop and 57 million customers world-wide had their account details hacked. 

𝐓𝐀𝐗𝐈 𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐊𝐒 𝐄𝐗𝐓𝐑𝐀 𝐁𝐈𝐓:

It was also reported in June this year that TfLs ULEZ data base had been hacked. 

In Uber's case, they didn’t report the hack for many months and their security chief was eventually convicted over an attempted cover up.

How long before we see this happening to companies like Curb and CMT?

If Taxi driver's accounts are hacked, and because TfL mandate that we have to accept CC/DC payments, will TfL be held responsible to make compensation payments to cover driver's losses?
