Sadiq Khan's pay-per-mile plot:
The London Mayor has now hatched a plan to charge motorists depending on the time of day, how many passengers are in their car and how far they drive in London and believe me…it won’t stop there.
In the Media today, Sadiq Khan realising that within just a few short years, his ULEZ extension will not be raising any funds as people upgrade their cars….has once again raised the idea of introducing a 'pay-as-you-drive' scheme into London - with motorists charged depending on the time of day, how many passengers are in their car and how far they drive.
But, this will not just involve petrol and diesel vehicles, it will involve every vehicle including electric capable vehicles as well.
The Mayor is already facing a major backlash from motorists over his decision to expand the Ultra Low Emission Zone into outer boroughs, forcing thousands more Londoners to pay £12.50 a day from August to drive cars that do not meet minimum standards. Yet he himself is ferried around the capital in a 4 vehicle convoy.
He risked further ire today by detailing his hopes for an even more controversial initiative to charge all drivers based on a detailed analysis of every individual journey.
'Road use charging is interesting,' he told. 'If you get rid of the congestion charge, get rid of Ulez, get rid of road tax, and charge people depending on how many miles they drive, how polluting their vehicle is, what time of day they're driving, are there alternatives related to public transport, how many people are in the car, that's potentially quite exciting.
'The problem is the technology's quite a long way off.'

TAXI LEAKS EXTRA BIT:
Personally, I think this is again just BS from Khan.
If true, it would have been all over his social media platforms today, but he hasn’t said a word about it on line…why?
He’s afraid of the resistance from Londoners over his ULEZ expansion plan and this is (again in my opinion) a frightener, hoping that the many people who have already upgraded their vehicles will support him…as they won’t want to pay a Road Pricing Tax, having just spent thousands of pounds upgrading.
This man is one slime ball and the sooner he gets removed from office the better for London as a whole.
