Cycling lobby controlled TfL, will be bringing in 20mph speed limits on another 18 miles of its roads in Camden, Islington, Hackney, Haringey and Tower Hamlets… from 31 March.

The changes will see almost all the roads in these boroughs have a consistent 20mph speed limit.

TfL has accelerated this roll out of 20mph speed limits on its roads, so that that by 2024, 174 miles of its roads will all have a 20mph speed limit.

Probably worried that if Khan and his team of cycling Tzars don’t get re-elected the scheme could be dropped altogether by a conservative mayoral team
