Just when you thought you’d seen it all… just when you thought a left wing loonie local council couldn’t do anything else to show just how inadequate their transport planning division were…with no common sense, no qualifications in the reasonable application of new traffic systems.
Along come Camden Council, who plonk parklets, in the areas marked aside for charging electric or Hybrid cars, rendering the charging points unusable.
Should we just forget about working towards net zero, should we all just go back to diesel and petrol?
Should we just stay away from the area in droves?
If you want to see the damage that these new road restrictions and traffic banning schemes have inflicted on the local business economy in Camden…just have a butchers at the amount of boarded up empty shops along Tottenham Court Road…. Is this what Camden council are aiming for, a London borough bought to its knees?
Just when is this madness going to end.
The London local council elections for 2022, being held on the 5th of May, would be a great starting place.
Vote them out and let’s return to a thriving borough where people want to come, to shop, socialise, reside.

Meanwhile, south of the water, councillor’s bottles are twitching as elections draw near…..
Greenwich Council is to scrap its low-traffic neighbourhood in streets west of Greenwich Park – a year after a senior councillor promised that the scheme would “just be the start” of measures to cut traffic in the borough’s back streets.
The decision, is due to be signed off by Labour transport cabinet member Sarah Merrill this week
