PART ONE!!!
Iโve been suffering massive victimisation from TfL for over 12 years now.
All my emails have been ignored, my tweets are ignored although they havenโt blocked my account, also my letters with queries sent to TfL licensing ( apart from a generic reply) are never answered.
I spent weeks trying to replace my Freedom Pass that for some reason was deactivated, stopping me using tube and busses. I couldnโt activate my account with London councils as my password had been compromised and I had to open a new account. When I did this, as I entered my details I was told I couldnโt progress as I already had and accountโฆโฆeventually found a link that allowed me to change my password.
Iโve now had to pay ยฃ12 for a replacement pass which they had deactivated.
I think this is a disgrace as it was not my fault, card was not lost or damaged in anyway, just deactivated.
Also, by coincidence, my son who has the same name as me, and a TfL workers travel passโฆ had his pass deactivated on the same day as my freedom pass.
Iโm not leaving this alone now because I think someone at TfL is behind this constant victimisation.
Iโm not a believer in conspiracy theories, but Iโve had too much trouble with TfL over the last twelve years for this to keep being coincidental.
Over my last three Bill renewals, my troubles with TfL appear to have escalated. Fed up with the aggravation, the last time I applied, I had someone apply for me online, someone who has helped many drivers with renewals and never had a problemโฆ.but mine took well over 7 months from start to finish and needed an investigation and a visit to Blackfriars Road to sort out.
Mind you, as Iโd completed all my application details and submitted my DBS certificate, I just carried on working, as the transport act dictates I canโฆEven though the law was on my side and confirmed by Leon Daniels, on behalf of Sir Peter Hendy, TfL still insisted I couldnโt workโฆ. But I did.
I also had trouble with my last medical, even though my doctor said I was A1 fit and passed the eye test in his surgeryโฆ I had to have an extra unnecessary opticians appointment.
For many years now, Iโve had no replies from any emails or letters Iโve sent to TfL departments. A dozen or so emails sent to Graham Robinson had generated no replies, emails sent to tphlicensing@tfl.gov.uk were and still are systematically ignored and although I get an initial response from their automated NoReply email address, saying that they would contact me within five working daysโฆ.no one from TfL ever did.
When I became 70, I changed my driving licence (actually renewed free of charge, within 5 days by the DfT). I sent TfL all the relevant details and links to DVLA website as required, but they just kept sending requests for the details which Iโd already sent themโฆmultiple times.
This problem went on and on for 8 months before I managed to get it sorted by going down to TfL and asking to see someone face to face. This then resulted in them sending me a new bill as they said my old bill had been revoked ๐คทโโ๏ธ๐๐คทโโ๏ธ.
This has also been mentioned lately on Twitter and Facebook taxi groups. Drivers saying that TfL keep missing the date to access the DVLA link one driver said heโs had to sent updates 4 times as TfL miss the view by date.
A few years ago I got a letter from TfL saying that a complaint had been made against my Taxi plate number, that Iโd refused a four handler from Liverpool Street station Taxi rank to Tottenham. I sent them a letter stating on that date, I had not worked due to the fact I was at a Christening and reception which was held in Sudbury Town. Along with the letter, I had included a statement from the vicar stating that I was indeed the godfather of my nephew's daughter and that he could vouch for the fact that I had attended the reception held in the church hall after the Christening on the date of the complaint at the approximate time the refusal took place. On closer inspection of the original complaint, I noticed that the plate number had been changed to fit my Taxi.
I never heard another word, nor did I get an apology or assurance that the complaintโฆ.my first in over 40 odd years of driving a Taxi (at that time), had been removed from my file.
Iโm not leaving this alone now, I want to know from TfL why I've being victimised like this.
Till I get this sorted Iโve decided to play them at their own game. If for any reason they try to contact me, to harass me in any way, Iโll just ignore their letters or emails.
