Reports on social media that Taxis can no longer rank or wait at the Renaissance Hotel are inaccurate

 Following discussion today with Ed White Gen.Mgr @StPancrasRen we have been assured that the Taxi rank is NOT out of bounds to Taxis and won't be. 

He has relayed this message to his team and stated that Taxis are the lifeblood for the hotel.

Why was this situation not dealt with quickly by our representative Orgs and unions on the London Taxi Ranks Committee ????

MORE GOOD NEWS. 

WCC have it confirmed that Taxis will be allowed to turn right from Oxford St into Berners street .

UNFORTUNATELY Still no word about a left turn from Oxford into Berners.

Taxi Leaks Comment:

As yet, no buses appear to be using the new one way system on Berners Street or Newman Street. 

But Westminster have plans to close Oxford Street to all traffic, both sides of Oxford Circus, and the buses will have to be diverted around the closure. 

At present, it is unclear what they have in mind, but it is our guess that we are about to see another disastrous system put in place, akin to the mess we see Daily on the Aldwych. 

Again, our Orgs and unions are staying tight lipped about the insuring madness, about to be implemented by Westminster’s transport planners.
