London Taxi PR, Supporting Taxi Drivers With A Sign Of Renemberance To Be Worn With Pride, Reflecting Those Recently Lost.

Good morning all.

Hope you are keeping safe and well?

You may remember that soon after the pandemic started last year, as we sadly started to hear of the first losses from within the profession due to Covid-19, that we (London Taxi PR-LTPR) introduced a moment to reflect and remember those we had recently lost.

As time has advanced those numbers have increased and more tragic losses of friends and family members have been reported.

This got us (LTPR) to thinking what is it that we can do to try and demonstrate a form of remembrance and commemoration of those who have passed, and, at the same time, hopefully help to provide some much needed funds for all the charities associated with the London Taxi profession.

So we came up with the idea of the Orange Taxi Remembrance Ribbon. Orange, to reflect and symbolise the For Hire light, and a ribbon, as that has been used as a sign of recognition by a number of charities and organisations. The idea is that the ribbon will be seen as a symbolic sign of remembrance and worn with pride.

We also wanted to ensure that any monies raised would be for the benefit of all the respective charities, not just one person or body, so therefore all monies raised from the sale of the ribbons will be distributed between them ALL so everyone will benefit.

In order to ensure that everyone is aware of our intentions, we would like to invite you to the launch, which we are looking to hold by the rank next to Starbucks at 3 Tower Place West EC3R 5BT opposite Tower of London entrance on Thursday 19th August  from 2 pm.

We will be joined on the day by Ms Farah London, someone who has not only been a tremendous supporter of London Taxis and LTPR, but who is also fully behind the intentions and aims of this charitable initiative.

We hope that you will be able to attend the launch of something positive for the benefit of all and as a mark of respect to those we have lost.

We look forward to seeing you there.

Stay Safe

Kind Regards
