Child rushed to hospital after collision with cyclist in Richmond Park

A 12-year-old child has been rushed to hospital after colliding with a cyclist in Richmond Park.


Police were called at 2.50pm to Roehampton Gate today (Wednesday, April 7).


London Ambulance Services attended the scene, as both the cyclist and child were reported injured, and the child was taken to a West London hospital.


Their injuries are not life-threatening or life-changing.


A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called at 1.18pm today (7 April) to reports of a collision involving a cyclist and a pedestrian in Richmond Park.


"We sent two ambulance crews. They treated a child and a man at the scene, and one was taken to a hospital."


A Met Police spokesperson explained the Royal Parks Constabulary are dealing with the incident.


They added: “A child had been taken to hospital following a collision in Richmond Park.


Police were called at 14:50hrs on Wednesday, 7 April to Roehampton Gate, Richmond Park.


“A cyclist had been in collision with a 12-year-old child.


“London Ambulance Services attended the scene as both cyclist and child were reported injured


“The child has been taken to a west London hospital.”
