Dynamo Fully Electric Taxi Finally Plated In London As Licensed Taxi Today

Hello to everyone great news today about the Dynamo fully electric Taxi for London

As MD and founder of Dynamo I would like to personally thank you all, for your patience waiting for our fully electric taxi to pass certification and to be plated.

We have kept quiet, as I only like to deal in facts, as you can see from the pictures, the new Dynamo fully electric Taxi is now ready to be used as a Taxi in London and the greater UK.

The team is excited as to the impact our taxi will have in reducing pollution whilst increasing driver income.

We are very proud to offer you the world’s only 100% emission free taxi.
Best regards.

Brendan O'Toole

TAXI LEAKS EXTRA BIT :
Finally the trade now has a choice, and Geely no longer holds the manopoly of supplying London Taxi drivers with a vehicle.

As Dymano have always stated, this vehicle won't suit everyone, but it will be perfect for many drivers and at a more affordable price.

This is brilliant news today, well done to the whole team who have put this project together.

I don't wish to p*** on the parade but however good this vehicle may be, the truth is that it's just another glorified van conversion.

London is now in a situation of replicating many places outside of this once great city, in respect of taxis. I can recall looking at the fleets in these outside cities and being dismayed, that the fleets looked nothing like taxis & more akin to enhanced work vans but pleased that I thought it would never be the same in London. (Although, I do realise the trade needs a competitor vehicle & at this time like no other time.)

However, surely somebody or a company can have the skills to produce a vehicle that looks more like a traditional taxi. I know that many drivers in the trade couldn't care less about what a London taxi looks like anymore, if it does the job & is economical & I understand that.
I do though think that the look and characteristics of the traditional taxi should be protected as it does have an attraction for many (and I don't think the LEVC has fully captured the look either). After all, how many tourists or members of the public, do you see taking photos of mercs in comparison to the traditional taxi - I've never noticed anybody taking a photo of a Merc.

I know these comments will be rubbished by many & I respect that view, as it is probably because I'm living in the past. Although, I do find it quite sad, that yet another of London's traditional images is gradually being obliterated. And now it's probably going the way of trafalgar Sq pigeons and true cockneys! Au revouir from an old f***!

Never mind these new taxis, the propaganda machine has started to crank up. I've just been listening to a well known phone in late night radio station (I know it's my own fault) & there's a discussion on about violent crime. Apparently, the presenter was a victim of one such attack recently & this was the catalyst for callers to phone in to discuss the problems of violent crime.

However, within half an hour, the conversation was somehow swerved into discussing the two bob minicab app. One caller said that violent crime on the streets had more or less concerned her, especially, relating to the app retaining their licence. This was worrying as it was not always easy to get a black cab and if they (the app mob) weren't around, it could make matters worse for the public (although, what's the problem with using a local mini cab company). The presenter then mentioned a friend & the presenter, were recently in an area (Southend I believe) & the presenter said to the friend that he was going to get one of the 2 bob apps cars. However, the friend said he probably wouldn't be able to as they didn't really work that area. Lo & behold the presenter then said; I tried to get a car but no luck & apparently the friend said the reason was the local authority (Southend) wouldn't recognise the app mob. The presenter then went on to infer he was bemused by this but apparently it was the local authority wanting to protect local taxi drivers jobs. Then the presenter said - and I paraphrase - what must the app company think of this (he said their name but I can't bring myself to).

Basically, I found it unbelievable that a conversation such as this, managed to work in mentioning the app mob & suggesting an injustice! I basically can't believe it had anything remotely associated to the subject and seemed quite a subversive method to introduce the app mob into the conversation. However, maybe it's just paranoia that's suggesting this perception................! I look forward to hearing another discussion about cookery & seeing if they (app mob) can be worked into it. Then again maybe it's all just a coincidence!!!

Now all you need is the 85% (app fee taken) of work to pay for it. Years of stress, and bad work levels have soured the whole job for me. The last thing I need now is a large payment plan, huge insurance and associated costs. And the yearly garage/test site stripe up. Needs to be a massive, permanent uplift in work, to change my mind.

For all the doom and bloomers above.
It's £220 per week to buy
Practily no maintenance
£30 per week charging cost
And it yours in 5 years.
£300 all in with insurance
What's not to like?

What's not to like? How about trying to get £300.00 before you take a penny piece of your own, plus app costs that many fools have been suckered into. And then getting your mortgage and all associated living costs via the trade.
Talk about getting on a treadmill in this present age & being brainwashed - people now are conned into anything! Wake up everyone & realise that everybody (except the drivers) is getting a good earner via drivers now.

In addition to this the street work has evaporated to around 60% of what it should be, due to taxi & minicab apps. It will only get worse as more of the young users of taxis get older & upcoming generations will never access taxis via street hiring. They are all too lazy now & use their phones for everything from ordering food to getting taxis/minicabs. Face up to it; there'll always be a taxi trade and demand but the rewards for drivers will diminish, whilst accelerating for those parasitical app companies. Drivers should have never become involved with outsiders & just used their own cooperative app - there is one but unfortunately, I think it started up too late, doesn't have the finances to promote itself fully & has missed the boat!

Sounds like you are one of the new electric brigade.
Well over £100k over 5 years if you wanna own it.
Seen 3 broke down since Saturday night.
White elephant ain't worth a toss
Try and sell it second hand.
This Nissans gonna put them out of business
and rightly so
£80 a week once you've paid for it including
insurance and charging.
Financially no contest.

As much as I consider this taxi a bit of a white elephant it definately needs to get the scrutiny only London taxi drivers will give it and only then if it survives that test it will make it.

The trade is being forced through the tiniest gaps of emission compliances possible and with the latest outrageous lowering of the taxi age limits to new and now virtually impossible financially viable limits of profitable new vehicle purchase (not pcp) it strikes me very strange how no mention has been made about the over due abolition of any age limit on this new 100% electric vehicle particularly when it meets the holy grail of 100% emission compliance and the man responsible for reintroducing age limits is now our prime minister who only sold his idea of reintroducing age limits wholly on emissions grounds in the first place when he was London Mayor way back when.

It is clear by now TFL have adopted an uncontrolled desire on the taxi age argument in simply adopting a downward one size fits all trajectory on their own clearest arguments based on emmisions which is now clearly wrong on zero producing vehicles as it interferes with our very abillity to return profitabillity in owning such an expensive Taxi vehicle and furthermore places undue strain on any manufacterer or supplier, so why will the age limit continue on 100% emission free vehicles when rewards for adapting should be given? I wonder, I seriously do!

Be Lucky
