This is one ( if not the best ) Licensing lawyers in the U.K.
Who is currently working for our biggest Trade Org:
This is his analysis of UBER and our present situation.
UBER have lied to the Courts, the High Court, MPs & Tfl.
So what happens?
They are allowed to work unlicensed, if only our very own Sean Stockings had that chance.
The Mayor should have revoked their license and let UBER prover otherwise, this is an utter disgrace and how UBER must be laughing their socks off at us -

TAXI LEAKS EXTRA BIT :

If uber are not off the streets by a certain time
Then every cab driver should rip there bill up
And from that moment on TFL are no longer our
Governing body.
Simple ther've had there chance and then some.
Time to stop bullshitting about ok.
It's pretty obvious the trade is going to be eradicated within months. TFL lawyers are working their nuts off to legitimise instant hailing apps. The out of control epidemic of 24 hour drinking requires Uber to survive to keep the lid on public order. We are very much the collateral damage. They can ban apps like Uber and the drunks will run amok. The police simply don't have the resources to cope. The government want the tax reveue from drink; but at the same time they don't want to reintroduce licensing hours. Uber must be kept at all costs to alleviate the problem. Plus 90% of PH drivers in London are low grade, cheap immigrant labour.
Don't be a bloody dope striking is ridiculous why alienate the public we need to win public support NOT have them turn to the opposition WHAT good is a bloody protest what does it achieve other then piss those off who pay our wages surely a alternative approach is more desirable
I hope the protests encourage thousands of taxi drivers (GB & YB) take to the streets of London because the Mayor of London should have revoked #uber's license immediately then let #uber prover otherwise!!
Looking forward to seeing all the 'old' faces and lots of new ones on every day of the protest
A one hour of protest is not a strike as some readers believe. Its simply a withdrawal of labor for a very limited time , set at a time as to not inconvenience the public as a whole and is done to highlight the wrongs that the trade has had to suffer the past six years. My only fear is the media will give it very little coverage, if any at all unless something bad happens. Perhaps burning an effigy of the PM may garner some support from unexpected sources and cause the media to take note.
For a start: there is a start time, but you may notice,
There is no finish time! Protests will be lengthy, not one hour.
It’s amazing, we’ve waited for drivers to pressure their orgs and nothing.
Now an independent, Driver led group have organised a protest,
Everyone seems to have a better idea!
Where were you lot before ???,
This is all very well and somewhat encouraging, but what is he (as part of my org's legal team) going to do about it? I'm getting a little tired of hearing 'they are illegal and nothing happens.
