Exclusive: London Taxi Radio TV ... Readdressing The Balance.

On Friday afternoon, the Independent Taxi Alliance (ITA) called the fifth in its series of protests on behalf of the London Taxi trade. The venue, Aldwych and the Strand.

The police blocked all approaches to normal traffic, but Taxis were allowed through to join up with their colleagues.

Within minutes the location became completely encircled and the drivers were left unhindered to continue with their three hour protestation.

Weary of the constant misrepresentation of our trade, 'London Taxi Radio TV' sent along three presenters plus a cameraman, to film and record an interview with a news team from London Live Satellite TV channel, who had called LTR earlier to arrange a meet.

Below, is the must watch account of our grievances,  explained in detail to the presenter.... plus what the news channel actually put out.

TAXI LEAKS EXTRA BIT:
Corruption and collusion goes from the top of TfL, through the Mayor's office....all the way to No10

The Private Hire Act 1998 sec26(2) clearly states; in the interest of public safety, an operators licence can be revoked with 'Immediate Effect'.

Of course it goes right to the top. The only way to get rid of dodgy companies that have money ties in with the politicians is to get rid of those politicians, is the conservative government. Taxi drivers whether they like Labour or not should be voting Labour on this occasion. Uber will be lining the pockets of those at the top who make the decisions that filter down to effect us. I fully believe it's total corruption and I for one have absolutely no faith in the law with regards Taxi legislation, I will do what I need to do to survive. I firmly believe when our backs are against the wall and we are losing our livelihoods it will get nastier with possibly street fighting as once there is nothing to lose we will become dog eat dog in the wild west end. How long before the law gets completely abandoned.

I have just heard that Theresa May has been promoting and supporting Uber again with encouragement of finding ways to help them carry on. Well she would wouldn't she. As we have all been saying, this corruption of fingers in pies goes right to the top. Look at how many Tory MPs have been involved in this Uber fiasco. They do not care about rape or murder, they care about money. Vote Labour and let's try and clean up this corrupt business owned country that has lost its morals.

Never read so much tripe. Granted conservatives are useless but do really believe Labour are not as corrupt. Be careful of what you wish for remember it was red ken who re phased traffic lights to justify congestion charge and he was certainly in with tfl. He also made you pay for improved emission system which did not work

I think her recent speech may change your mind, we have absolutely no doubt whose side the Conservatives are on as well as their own. It happens to have been mostly Labour MPs that have supported and fought for us. Yes agree there is not a perfect party, one has to work out the best one for you. Now as I see it unless one is extremely wealthy sitting in the upper chambers of society, of which most cab drivers are not, then logic dictates Labour every time.
