In a dossier submitted to the council, Cllr Berry included photographic evidence from black cab drivers showing the restricted bays on Pancras Road filled throughout the day with mini cabs waiting for 'e-hails' from apps such as Uber.
In the wake of what's recently been happening in Paris and Brussels and the current security alert pointing to an imminent terrorist attack, you would have thought Camden Council, in league with the British Transport Police would be on the case with this abuse of the parking regulations outside one of the biggest international terminus in Europe.
Let's not forget what happened outside Tiger Tiger. Terrorists left two car bombs in plain sight parked alongside illegally ranking minicab touts. Luckily enough, the bombs failed to ignite, yet within days, the touts were back outside the night venue and the authorities went back to turning a blind eye.
Unfortunately, it looks like it will take an atrocity on an epic scale to wake these people up.
How long before terrorists recognise the fact that at present, they can park a Prius full of explosives, on any Taxi rank in London

Then & only then will they do something
It's an act waiting to happen
Even then, the authorities will use the media blackout to save them
Just been there and couldn't drop my old lady passenger by the kerb
as there were 2 rows of Uber cars blocking the drop off zones ..
A disgrace ..
I dread going there nowadays. Passengers are also starting to insist on exiting while I am queuing for that right hand turn....not safe at all....
Super Bob10.43. . Same coming from the west traffic jam as can only get one or two cabs or cars turning left at a time , uber must be paying Camden council Chiefs more than they could make from a camera or a traffic warden ...
Well what you do my merry men-and ladies- is bombard the 101 line every time you have cause to go into Pancras rd.I practise what I preach and it may seem futile to many, but I will continue to phone and enlighten ''KNACKER OF THE YARD'' highlighting the problem of double parking and having to set down in the middle of the road.It costs nothing to make the call and they have to respond-no matter how long they say it will take.Obtain a cad number and the date when you do.I had the satisfaction of seeing a a scab handcuffed and car impounded.Don't just drive away and moan on forums-do something positive.
well what you do ladies and gents is phone the 101 line-it is free-and enlighten ''The Yard''.I practise what I preach and have had the satisfaction of seeing a scab and car being taken away.Every time you phone, a CAD reference is created-make sure you ask for it-so they have to respond,no matter how long they say it will take.Just the other day I phoned-being told it would be an hour-which I stated was unacceptable as British Transport Police inhabit both Kings x and St pancras stations.15 mins later and lo and behold-blue lights. The more CAD references that are created the better. The problems are audited and then escalated if deemed to be a continual complaint.Don't just drive away and moan on forums-phone and make their job as difficult as yours
